All Ages Open Jam Set for Sunday Jan. 19th

The Wyoming Blues & Jazz Society will be holding it's monthly open jam in the Mardi Gras Room at the Parkway Plaza Hotel on Sun Jan 19th from 4 to 8 PM.

This one will be open to all ages to attend and participate in. Barb Atkinson and Barrel House Blues Band will be hosting, providing the PA system and backline. Musicians of all ages, bring your instruments, and join in jamming with other local musicians. Singers welcome too.

The WBJS holds a Jam the 3rd Sunday of every month, but it's usually for 21 +, so this is a chance for the younger musicians to get out and participate or just check out the local artists. There will be plenty of seating for the audience, and room to dance for those who wish.

The Barrelhouse Blues Band, featuring vocalist Barb Atkinson, lead guitarist Chase Nash, bassist Will Chambers, and drummer Rick Constantino, offers up an energetic and eclectic mix of blues and rock. From hot-rodded Delta Blues to urban soul to Sun Records rock-and-roll, Casper's newest blues band will keep your toes tapping, your hips shaking, and your soul satisfied.

They will do a short set to start out, then open the stage for those who have signed up at the door to participate.

No cover charge, but the hat will be passed to help defray our costs. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
