An Amazing Day Ice Fishing, 40 Plus Fish!

What a wonderful day Ice-fishing! I have never caught this many fish I don't think...

I have tried ice fishing before and didn't have much luck but thanks to a local ice-fishing celebrity Mike I had the most glorious day on the water or I should say. It was interesting to learn more about ice fishing. You are basically blind, as a fly fisher I learn to read the water but it is hard when it is frozen. I learned about jigging, the lures to use and also some maggots always help!

So we had to of caught at least 40 plus fish a piece and we were only there a few hours! Had we been there earlier I think we would have caught a lot more.
