As his star continues to rise, Casper's own Aquile is busy making the media rounds to plug The Voice and his career as an up-and-coming artist. He recently sat down with Access Hollywood to dish the ish on his interactions thus far with Voice judge Christina Aguilera, his broken jaw, and why he decided to pick up a guitar.
It's that time of the year again, when school pride is taken to an all new level. The 2012 Oil Bowl is upon us. On September 22, the Natrona County Mustangs will once again go head to head with the Kelly Walsh Trojans in what is sure to be an absolute barn-burner. We'll be there for the entire game to provide you up to the minute play-by-play action, as well as a HUGE gallery of the game and its fans. But we thought we would take some time, for those of you who have been living under a rock, to tell you everything you need to know about the Oil Bowl.
Casper has always impressed when it comes to its support of local charities. Whether it's a well-known organization like CASA, a lesser-known organization like the Children's Advocacy Project, or even just a family in need of food and clothing, residents of Casper have gone above and beyond to make sure that those in need are taken care of. This is why it comes as no surprise that Casperites have jumped at the opportunity to raise awareness for the newly-created Hector Foundation.
It’s that time of the year again. Temperatures are cooling, leaves are falling and garage sales are calling! But instead of gathering up the clan and driving all around town, on October 13th, you can stop by the Industrial Building at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds and join us for the Super Garage Sale!
The fire continues to burn on Casper Mountain, and our firefighters are working their tails off to get it contained. It's going to be a long, arduous journey but we have no doubt that our guys will lay the smack down on the Sheep Herder Hill Fire. In the meantime, we've composed a list of the Top 5 Coolest Movie Firefighters.
We all remember where we were on September 11, 2001. We all remember exactly what we were doing when we heard that two planes had crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City. We all knew that we would never forget that day, for the rest of our lives. Since that day 11 years ago, Americans have banded together more than ever to help our fellow man.
It seems that as summer turns into autumn, marriage fever hit’s a fever pitch, no pun intended. Brides seem to get an itch that can only be scratched by doing lots and lots of wedding shopping. Luckily for brides in Casper, they are covered. This is because for the past three years, the Wolcott Galleria has sponsored a Bridal Walk in downtown Casper.
Living in Wyoming, we are afforded many opportunities to experience sheer serenity. One of the best places to experience utter tranquility is Casper Mountain, and on Saturday the sounds of fall were upon us. Birds were singing, the wind was rustling leaves, and humans were screaming for their lives. That’s because on this day, Casper Mountain was overrun with terrifying flesh-eating Zombies, all in the name of charity.
I don’t claim to know everything there is to know about women..Ok, I do. But I don’t actually know everything about women. I do know a lot though. This is because I’ve met, spoken to, studied, observed, and slept with enough women to at least have a little insight into the female psyche. While I’m no expert (and those who tell you they are, are liars), I do know enough to guess certain types of behavior.
Most, if not all of us, know what it’s like to go out on a first date. We’re nervous, we’re excited, we’re anxious and we're aroused. It’s the perfect cocktail of emotions for this type of activity and, if we’re lucky, we can project those emotions into the perfect date. Unfortunately, there are a lot of things working against us having the perfect date. The underlying reason, in most cases, is simply because he/she is just really not that into you.
There comes a time in every person’s life when he or she gets to that proverbial crossroads- where you can decide to go one way in your life or another. This is the time when one decides what kind of person they want to be, and it’s the time when one chooses the direction they want to follow- one that will lead to happiness, or one that will lead to destruction.
Now that school is back in session, I’ve been thinking a lot about my school career. Truth be told, I don’t remember much of it. This is mostly due to the fact that it was significantly unmemorable. I didn’t hate high school, but I didn’t live and/or die by it either. High school was just…there…for me. Likewise, when I was in high school, I too was just there. I didn’t really stand out. I didn’t catch a game-winning pass. I didn’t date the prettiest girl in school (though the one I did date was easily in the top 5). I, just like many other students, just…existed. I always felt above high school. Not above the people, per say, but just the idea of high school. I knew that the stuff I did after high school would be the really important stuff. That being said, there are some things I wish I did differently in high school. Here is a list of those things.
