Casper College Alert…Man Seen With Rifle…Lockdown Lifted

UPDATE: Police say that the threat is apparently over, And the campus lockdown is lifted. But any suspicious activity should be reported.

There is still no word yet, though, on what exactly happened.

The alert system at Casper College has sent out this warning...

A man displaying a rifle has been reported on College Drive near campus near Liesinger Hall.

He is said to be sitting in a white Jeep.

Students and employees have been advised to shelter in place. Casper Police have been notified.

The photo above shows a police officer standing next to the Jeep in question.

Casper College President Walt Nolte told K2 Radio News that he didn't have any real information yet.
