LL Cool J walked with a panther. Brian Fantana in 'Anchorman' favored the slightly pungent 'Sex Panther' cologne. Now, Bruno Mars is following suit, as he covers the summer preview issue of Entertainment Weekly with a shiny black panther.

Cue the big cat "rawr" noise...NOW!

The 'When I Was Your Man's co-star is apparently named Whoopi, and is a nod to his current tour, Moonshine Jungle. Why else would he pose with a panther? Oh right, because Bruno Mars is bada---.

On his tour Moonshine Jungle, which kicks of in North America on June 22, Bruno tells Entertainment Weekly: "I want the music and the sound to be rockin’, more important than the visual effects and tricks or whatnot. I don’t want to get lost in that." He adds, "I’ve definitely seen bands before they made money kind of change their thing on the next tour, and I prefer it when it’s a little more raw. We always change it up, you know? It’s live, and that’s a big element of the show.”

But aside from his tour and living in "the now," Mars still sees himself performing later in life. "I can’t wait for the reunion tour when I’m just huge and bloated, singin’ my songs seven keys down in Palm Springs. And it’s gonna happen. [Laughs]"

We would just LOVE to see that.

He'll be performing his next single, 'Treasure,' this Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards. This issue hits newsstands on Friday, May 17.
