Bruno Mars had a pretty fun chat on British talk show 'The Graham Norton Show' this week. Kicking his 'Unorthodox Jukebox' press tour into full gear, he explained how 'Money Make Her Smile' was inspired by pole dancers -- and a really embarrassing moment.

"We had a show in Paris, and we had the day off the next day," Mars said. "So me and the guys, we all wanted to go out, and we ended up in this real seedy strip club." (Norton's face is pretty priceless here.) Mars continued, "The DJ recognized me, and I'm trying to lay low, but he says, 'Ladies and gentlemen, we got a special guest tonight, Bruno Mars!'"

Dude, how embarrassing! "I was like, 'Aw, dammit!'" he said. "But the worst part was, he started playing my first single, 'Just the Way You Are.' ... it's the last song you want to hear in a place like that! So this poor girl gets up onstage and she's trying to dance to it, and I'm like, 'I'm sorry!'" Chances are if that girl had heard that song a few times earlier in life, she wouldn't have been there in the first place. "So on this album, I definitely have some songs that I'll be proud of next time I'm in Paris at a strip club."

Mars followed his amusing interview (which featured hilarious quips from actor Daniel Radcliffe and comedian Ricky Gervais) with a rollicking performance of 'Locked Out of Heaven.' This song may work in a seedy night club too!
