Wet snow falling on a layer of snow and ice continues to prove problematic for Casper's commuters today, and authorities are urging drivers to be cautious.

Thankfully, no one has been seriously hurt in the 15 accidents reported since midnight Tuesday. But Casper Police Sgt. Scott Jones says a few people have been shaken up.

Tuesday's crashes have been "mostly people sliding into poles and each other," Jones said shortly before 11 a.m.

He added that it's a day for folks to anticipate taking a little longer to get where they're going to ensure they arrive safely.

It's also a good idea to pay extra attention and be prepared to stop.

"Going from 30 mph to a stop in 50 yards isn't going to happen," Jones says.
