Police have confirmed that a Casper man fatally shot his wife with a .38 caliber revolver before killing himself. The bodies of 60-year-old Walt McMillin and his 55-year-old wife Jodi were found the morning of May 17th in the living room of their home on the 400 block of West 12th.

Both had gunshot wounds to the head, and at the time, investigators said it appeared to be a murder-suicide. Officers found the bodies after someone at the Salvation Army contacted police to report Walt McMillin had failed to show up for work.

Investigators believed the shooting happened between 10:00 p.m. and midnight on May 15th. Police say they found signs of alcohol consumption at the scene, and the couple had a history of domestic violence.
