Seeing moving trucks around Casper is a normal thing. That's why it's no big shock to learn that Casper has just been ranked as one of the fastest growing cities in Wyoming.

Homesnacks crunched a bunch of numbers. Here are the metrics they used to decide which Wyoming cities are getting bigger faster:

  • Population in 2017
  • Population in 2010
  • Growth rate from 2010 to 2017 (The latest available data which came out in Dec 2018)

How did Casper fare? Near the top is the answer. According to Homesnacks, Casper came in as the 3rd fastest growing city in the state.

Another crazy fact in this story is that Casper is growing much faster than even Cheyenne. Insane.

Homesnacks also added on praise for Casper being named the most family-friendly small city in the West back in 2010 and Forbes calling us one of the best cities to raise a family in.

There are two ways to look at this. Some will see this growth as a threat to the laid back small-town vibe that Casper is famous for. Others will see this as a positive that the city they love is becoming a go-to place for those looking for a better city to live in.
