We took a poll asking you Do You Think Casper Will Have Good Weather for the Eclipse Festival 2017? Of the people who responded, here are our weather predictions for the solar eclipse on August 21.

Of all the comments on social media and votes cast, we found one prediction that sounds the most accurate. It came from Brian Wagner the gentleman who brings us the Christmas in Wyoming light shows. On Facebook he wrote:

We will have partly cloudy skies with a high of 84, with a 40 chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

We think that is the best prediction we will get. In other words, it will be the same forecast as any typical Wyoming summer day.

As far as the poll, most people thought Casper is NOT going to have good weather. It looks like 35% want it to rain on August 21st. In second place we have the people who are optimistic for good weather with 26%. Then we have the 21% who don't know but just like to take polls.

Thankfully, not too many people are expecting Yellowstone to blow its top off causing a mass extinction event. That was the lowest category with only 18% for the end of days.
