Fog may have been a factor in a crash that critically injured two people west of Casper.
Highway 20/26. "Evidence on the scene showed that the vehicle was attempting to turn into Hell's Half Acre," says Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Adam Bruning, "so they were traveling westbound and there was a pickup that was traveling eastbound on Highway 20/26 and the vehicle turning into Hell's Half Acre made impact with the pickup truck that was traveling east."

Bruning says there was dense fog in the area at the time of the crash... "The impact caused the passenger vehicle to be pushed backwards approximately 75 feet from initial impact, and the pickup truck went down into the ditch. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken emergent to the medical center, and neither of those two were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash."

Trooper Bruning says the driver carried a  Wyoming license, the other carried a Russian ID card. He says the occupants of the pickup, who were from Oklahoma, were wearing their seat belts and were cleared at the scene by paramedics.
