One Direction are the biggest boy band on the planet right now, but that doesn't mean they're the biggest stars in their own movie. With Morgan Spurlock at the helm of the film, the band's 3D movie will actually focus on someone else: You.

Directioners are the real stars in the flick, set to hit theaters (and our hearts) Aug. 30, 2013. Simon Cowell is almost as excited as 1D's loyal followers are for the movie -- and even says that Spurlock, the man behind 'Super Size Me,' may well be a Directioner himself.

"Morgan Spurlock's directing. He's cool, I met him. I think it's going to be amazing," Cowell told MTV News. He was just such fan of doing it. What he gets is storytelling and he likes detail and he's fun and the band likes him. I think he's going to make an interesting movie."

Cowell gave an inkling of what the movie will cover: the band's upcoming sold out world tour to promote 'Take Me Home.' "Well, I mean, for anyone whose fan of the band you're gonna get a chance to really see what it's like preparing for one of these big concert tours," Cowell said. "A lot of it is about the fans," he added. "Always when I'm asked this question, you've got to thank the fans, the One Direction fans literally [are] unbelievable."

Spurlock is thrilled to be attached to the project, likely because of the inevitable box office mojo as much as the experience itself. “This is an incredible opportunity and an amazing moment in time for the band,” Spurlock said. “To capture this journey and share it with audiences around the world will be an epic undertaking that I am proud to be a part of.”

You hear that, Directioners? You may be a movie star if you feel up the band!
