It's a question that has plagued us for ages. We may have found the answer.

Easter is taking over this weekend. Well, let's be honest. Easter has taken over ever since the Leprechauns left the bars on St. Patrick's Day. Stores have been filled with candy, baskets and that ever-frustrating, stick-to-your-fingers, artificial green grass. It's time now to answer the tough questions.

So, which came first, the Easter bunny or the Easter egg?

It's a tough question. Now, according to a recent survey by WalletHub, just over 52 percent of Americans believe it was the bunny who superseded the egg. However, we decided to take it a step further.

We consulted the internet!

We believe that the Easter element that is searched for the most is the one that comes first to our minds and therefore came first over all. This varies all over the country, but according to Google searches in Wyoming, it was the Easter Egg that came first.

The map below shows that the majority of the country disagrees with this, but since when do we do anything like the rest of the country?
