It is fall, and one thing that is on my mind is finding elk. As sportsman travel hundreds of miles every year across our state in search of elk, sometimes finding them is as easy a shopping downtown. Estes Park, Colorado is best known for The Stanely Hotel, which is featured in the movie "The Shining." But, it is also the headquarters for Rocky Mountain National Park. Much like the elk that live near Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone, the elk in Estes Park think they are residents of the small town. So much so, that you can find them eating out of trash cans and even window shopping downtown stores. Check out the fun video of a bull elk taking his "ladies" on a shopping spree.
