Embattled singer Chris Brown reportedly is wanted by the Florida State Attorney’s Office in regards to allegedly stealing an iPhone from a photo-snapping fan outside of a Miami nightclub.

According to RadarOnline, the state attorney has contacted Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, so they can bring him in for questioning. “At this point it appears that won’t happen, which isn’t uncommon,” said a source. “The prosecutor handling the case is working with the cops in interviewing the alleged victim and the witnesses. Chris has an attorney for a reason, and Mark is in constant communications with the DA in Miami, it’s not as if Brown has gone on radio silence.”

As we previously reported, the Grammy Award-winning crooner allegedly snatched a female fan’s iPhone after she took a picture of him while he was sitting in his Bentley. The victim claims he grabbed the expensive device and told her, “B—h, you ain’t going to put that on no website.” Breezy then pulled up his window and drove off.

According to NBC Miami, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office has not made a decision on whether or not Brown will be charged for “robbery by snatching.” Brown has not and will not be contacted unless he decides to come forward, the spokesperson added.

If Brown has a good heart, he should turn himself for questioning, or, better yet, return the woman’s iPhone. Either way, if the crooner is charged for the crime it may jeopardize his probation and seriously affect the promotional run for his upcoming album ‘Fortune,’ which hits stores on May 8.

“Make no mistake, Chris is taking this very seriously. He knows that one arrest could unleash a wave of new legal problems for him because he is still on felony probation,” said a source to RadarOnline. We hope everyone involved comes to justice in the case — and that Breezy can get his temper in check. C’mon, we’re rooting for you!
