Authorities in Florida are still talking to eyewitnesses in the case of a woman who claims that Chris Brown stole her $500 iPhone outside of a club last February. NBC Miami reports that prosecutors are now interviewing additional observers provided by Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos.

“[They] have just finished discussing with the lead Miami Beach detective the additional witness information supplied by Mr. Brown’s attorney,” said Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. “We now must interview these individuals, some of whom may be from out of state, just as we do in every criminal investigation in order to uncover the truth in its entirety.”

As we previously reported, on Feb. 19, Brown allegedly snatched Christal Spann’s iPhone after she snapped a photo of him getting into his black Bentley vehicle. Afterward, the singer allegedly said, “B—-, you ain’t going to put that on no website,” before driving off with her phone.

If prosecutors decide to charge Brown for “robbery by snatching,” which is a felony, this could jeopardize his probation and seriously affect his promotional run for his new album ‘Fortune’ (due out May 8). According to RadarOnline, Brown maintains his innocence in the case. “Make no mistake, Chris is taking this very seriously. He knows that one arrest could unleash a wave of new legal problems for him because he is still on felony probation,” said a source.
