Rafters, canoers, kayakers, and floaters brought their patriotism to the North Platte River for the 2016 Great River Raft Race "Hail to the Chief" edition.

This year's theme was all about America. Racers showed up in their most patriotic attire and some even dressed up as presidential candidates. The Great River Race got a later start this year, but that did not detour racers who wanted to sport their red, white, and blue in an attempt to claim fist place and the prestigious 'Golden Paddle'.
