Rugby is hard enough to follow without the uniforms making it more confusing.

A pair of high school girls rugby teams from Buffalo took to the pitch in prom dresses Wednesday night.

We'll let you get over the shock of learning there's not one, but two, high school rugby teams before we explain just why these tough ladies were dressed to the nines. Okay, ready? It seems the squads from City Honors and Kenmore West High School battle it out in their dresses every year in an event called the Prom Bowl.

It's an annual tradition between the two schools and this year, the players raised money to fight cancer by selling pink bracelets.
