He's got another plan to steal Christmas...and it includes one award.

The Grinch easily made off with the People's Choice Award for Best Decorated Tree, two days ahead of the Festival of Trees event.

The fundraiser which will be held at the Casper Boys and Girls Club on Tuesday, November 27th starting at 6pm, is the biggest event of the year for the Casper chapter of Special Olympics Wyoming.

The money raised goes toward covering the cost of special athletes to play in the state games several times per year, as well as provide equipment and other needed expenses.

Priscilla Dowse, President and CEO of the Special Olympics Wyoming Casper Chapter says the games are a chance for those with intellectual disabilities, to prove themselves on the playing field.

"They give us the greatest example of what sports really should look like. Competition for the sake of competition, striving to do your best, allowing our neighbors and families to celebrate abilities, rather than focus on disabilities."

There are 2 Grinch trees up for auction.

The one that took the People's Choice Award, was put together by Jonah Bank.
