Update (5/31): The full "Misery" video is here, and Gwen has somehow made a work of art out of a parking garage — watch above.

Female hysteria has adopted a cool, sexy edge thanks Gwen Stefani's latest project.

The "Make Me Like You" singer, who's headed on tour with Eve in July, released a preview of the video for her new "Misery" single earlier today (May 26) and it boasts the glamour of a proper 19th-century ball. Related: there's a fainting couch! Like, not an actual one since it's raised on both sides (the real thing's wide open on one, as experts will tell you), but Gwen mimes fainting on it so WHAT ELSE ARE WE TO BELIEVE?

In the clip above, Gwen, who's adopted the persona of a modern-day Katharine Hepburn, tells the tale of being stuck in a state of overwhelming romantic-transition straight to camera. "You're like drugs, you're like drugs to me / I'm so into you totally," she pleads between shots of two suited-up men dancing in unison and a woman dressed in head-to-toe couture, who seems to be stuck in a runaway utility elevator. A day's worth of Fitbit goals shot straight to hell!

The full video is set for release on May 31, and fans are already counting down the days. "Anxiously awaiting this along with all of your other weirdos & freaks ;)" one commented on the Instagram post.

Check out the teaser above and tell us if you're digging Gwen's whole new "Misery" creative.
