The latest hoax making it's way across Facebook is that McDonald's is discontinuing their world famous signature burger, the Big Mac. This one seemed far-fetched as soon as I read the headline, but never taking ANYTHING I see on social media at face value, I started my research.

The full headline read:

"McDonald’s Removing Big Mac, Apple Pies And Eliminating Large Size Options."

The web-post originated from Daily Buzz Live (DBL), another in a long list of satirical websites. This one originated December 19th, 2014. Amazing how it only takes a few days for these works of fiction to go viral.

In their defense, DBL, like all other satire sites, does have a disclaimer, although theirs is much harder to find then any of their counterparts. The disclaimer reads:
