UNDATED (AP) — Cody Zeller played a huge role in Indiana becoming the outright Big Ten regular-season champion for the first time in two decades.

Zeller scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds as the second-ranked Hoosiers rallied to beat No. 7 Michigan 72-71 at Ann Arbor. The Wolverines led 71-66 in the final minute until Zeller scored the game's last six points, including a go-ahead layup with 13 seconds remaining. He later altered Trey Burke's potential go-ahead bucket inside before Jordan Morgan missed a follow-up attempt.

Victor Oladipo (oh-lah-DEE'-poh) added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Hoosiers, who avoided sharing the Big Ten crown with 10th-ranked Michigan State and No. 14 Ohio State.

Keith Appling scored 16 points and the Spartans finished 13-5 in the conference by downing Northwestern 71-61. Gary Harris had 12 points for Michigan State, which blew a 13-point lead but shot 66 percent from the field.

The Buckeyes were 68-55 winners over Illinois. DeShaun Thomas finished with 19 points, and Aaron Craft added 14 and six assists as Ohio State wrapped up the second seed in the Big Ten tournament.

In other college hoops action:

No. 21 Virginia Commonwealth had an opportunity to grab a share of the Atlantic 10's regular-season title in their debut season in the conference but let it slip through their fingers, losing 84-76 at Temple. Khalif Wyatt had a game-high 30 points for the Owls, who allowed Saint Louis to claim the outright A-10 crown.

Traevon Jackson's contested 3-pointer at the buzzer lifted No. 22 Wisconsin past upset-minded Penn State 63-60 in State College. The Badgers avoided entering the Big Ten tournament on their first three-game losing streak of the season.

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) —Liberty is in the NCAA basketball tournament despite a 15-20 record. The Flames beat Charleston Southern 87-76 in the final of the Big South tournament to claim the conference's automatic bid.

The Flames' .429 winning percentage is the lowest for an NCAA tournament team since Oakland, Michigan, had a 12-18 record in 2005.

Liberty got hot at the right time. A fifth straight win gives the Flames their first invitation to the Big Dance since 2004.

The Buccaneers won the Big South's regular-season title and a guaranteed spot in the NIT.
