But how much should you spend? The National Retail Federation reports that most children will spend $117.14 on Father's Day gifts this year. That's up 10% from last year.

Still a bit behind Mother's Day spending, which, on average is around $152 per person. But it's getting slightly closer.

This Father's Day, an average 54% of people will buy a gift for their dad or stepdad . . . 29% will buy one for their husband . . . 10% will buy one for their sons . . . and 5% will buy one for their grandfather.
