I'm sure you've heard that many companies track your online whereabouts. They want to know what you're looking up online, what you're browsing, what you're buying, what websites you visit frequently -- stuff like that. It's only made more obvious when you start to see ads for items you'd be interested in, but maybe not others. Here's a quick way to opt out.

From here it'll load several companies into a menu. You choose which companies you'd like to stop and click 'submit your choices' at the bottom of the page.

It's just that simple!

Don't forget to adjust your privacy settings on all social media networks in your browser of choice. It also doesn't hurt to peek at those settings every once in a while to make sure everything is still set. Facebook is notorious for introducing new privacy settings that may revert your current settings to default.
