Inmate Attempts Escape From Natrona County Detention Center

An inmate at the Natrona County Detention Center tried to escape during the recent snowstorm.

The Natrona County Sheriff's Office says at around 1:15am on Tuesday, December 15th, the inmate tried to get out of a secure location within the Detention Center, but was not successful.

The area was never breached, and there were no injuries to the inmate or to the deputies that apprehended him.

A Sheriff's Office spokesperson says an investigation is ongoing, and the name of the inmate can not be released to the public just yet.

At no time was there any danger to the public.
