All scratch DJs know that vinyl is going the way of the dinosaur. There is Serato and a multitude of various midi controllers, but finding one that 100% simulates the real thing has been pretty much a pipe dream. That is no longer the case.

Rane has released a game changer with the new TWELVE battle-style turntable. Their official website states:

The TWELVE is a simple, pure and powerful motorized DJ control system without the hassle of fragile needles and skipping tone arms. Keeping things consistent with a familiar turntable layout and size, the only clear differentiator is a precision, multi-function touch strip for track searching and setting or triggering hot cues in place of the tone arm.

For an old horse, such as myself, that started out in the disc jockey world using vinyl in the mid-90s, this is a dream come true! The near $800 a piece price tag hurts a little, but in the long run, I think it will be worth the coin.
