UNDATED (AP) — Josh Bailey scored twice and the New York Islanders added another big win in their surge toward the playoffs by beating the Boston Bruins 2-1 at TD Garden. The Islanders are seeking their first trip to the postseason in seven years. They are 5-0-1 in their last six games.

The Islanders and Ottawa Senators are tied for sixth place in the East, two points ahead of the idle New York Rangers and Winnipeg.

— Brian Elliott notched his third straight shutout, stretching his streak to 189 minutes, 31 seconds without a goal, and the St. Louis Blues won their sixth straight game by beating the Minnesota Wild 2-0

__ Southeast Division-leading Washington won its sixth in a row, 3-1 over Carolina. Troy Brouwer (BROW'-ur) and Mike Green scored second-period goals, Brouwer added an empty-netter and Braden Holtby made a career-high 43 saves.

— Evander Kane scored two goals and the Winnipeg Jets beat the Florida Panthers 7-2 and tie the New York Rangers for eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

— Patrick Marleau (MAHR'-loh) scored the winner in the shootout and had a short-handed goal early in the game, lifting the San Jose Sharks to a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

__ The Ottawa Senators snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Colin Greeing scored the go-ahead goal.

__ Montreal clinched a playoff berth and regained the Northeast Division lead by one point over Boston by trouncing Buffalo 5-1. Rene Bourque (bork), Alex Galchenyuk (gahl-CHEHN'-yuhk), Brendan Gallagher, P.K. Subban and Andrei Markhov scored for the Canadiens.

__ Pittsburgh doubled up Tampa Bay 6-3. Jussi Jokinen (YOO'-see YOH'-kih-nehn) scored two goals and added an assist. Pascal Dupuis (paz-KAHL' doo-PWEE') had a goal and two assists.

__ Jeff Carter scored his 24th goal and scored again in the shootout, and the Los Angeles Kings moved back into fourth place in the Western Conference with a 3-2 win over Colorado.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Colin Wilson, Paul Gaustad and Gabriel Bourque (bork) will be having season-ending surgeries and focus on being ready for training camp this fall for the Nashville Predators.

Wilson has not played since he hurt his shoulder March 9 in a game against Minnesota when he was the team's leading scorer with seven goals and 19 points.

Gaustad is Nashville's key forward handling faceoffs. But he has missed 17 games this season with injuries and will have his shoulder surgically repaired. Bourque had missed the past five games and will have a knee surgery.
