Jimmy Kimmel helped pop stars and celebs turn the tables on keyboard ninjas and digital haters hiding behind LED computer monitors and the anonymity that can be inherent in things like Tweets.

He asked the likes of Katy Perry and Justin Bieber, along with actors like Kristen Stewart and Matt LeBlanc, to read mean tweets about themselves, written by people sucking down the Hatorade by the gallon. Luckily our A-listers had thick skins and robust senses of humor.

Perry’s tweet referenced her coldly received film ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me.’ It is hilarious to watch Perry read, “I would rather chop my arm and off and f— myself with my detached limb than watch Katy Pery’s movie. What the f— is wrong with the world?,” with a look of surprise and fake pain. She was a good sport, for sure, especially when her ocean blue eyes get all big and cute, as if to ask, “Why me?!”

The Biebs’ hate tweet was hysterical, as was his reaction. It read, “Dear God, give us back Tupac and we’ll give you Justin Bieber.” So the non-Beliebers were bartering with the Big Man himself for a celestial switcheroo.

Even though she’s an actress and not a pop star – one who is making headlines for cheating on her boyfriend and ‘Twilight’ co-star Robert Pattinson — Kristen Stewart’s tweet was also a gut buster. The tomboyish KStew deadpanned, “I liked Kristen Stewart more when she was a boy,” and proceeded to grab her crotch. Something tells us she may be getting more hate tweets in the coming days after her indiscretion. Oops, did we say that out loud? We should probably have taken that to Twitter to get it read on a Kimmel skit!
