It looks like Drew isn’t the only singing competition contestant Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez support! Carly Rae Jepsen, the third runner-up in the fifth season of  ’Canadian Idol,’ just won the approval of the pair over Twitter.

Gomez snapped this shot of a grinning Bieber driving and wrote, “This smile is because of Carly Rae Jepsen.. We have not stopped listening your song girl!” That’s quite an endorsement — combined, Gomez and Bieber have 25 million followers!

It’s nice to see the cute couple happy after a tumultuous end to 2011. Gomez’s mom suffered a devastating miscarriage, while Bieber’s grandparents were injured in a car accident — and he still has Mariah Yeater in his highly-influential hair.

The song they love so much is ‘Call Me Maybe,’ the lead single off of Jepsen’s sophomore album ‘Curiosity,’ due to be released sometime this year. Following her 2007 ‘Canadian Idol’ elimination, Jepsen went on the ‘Canadian Idol Top 3′ tour before recording her debut on album, ‘Tug of War,’ in 2008. Jepsen was nominated for two Juno Awards (the Canadian equivalent to our Grammys) for Best New Artist and Songwriter of the Year in 2010 — but we somehow think this may be even more of an honor.

While Jepsen may have come in third place on ‘Canadian Idol,’ it’s pretty clear she’s winning the fame game now. Check out the video for ‘Call Me Maybe’ below and hear what all the buzz is about!
