Even the very best wax statues frequently have an eerie feeling to them.

Perhaps there’s just something about a life-size wax replica of a famous person that never sits well with us — but we think even hardcore Beliebers will agree that there’s something particularly peculiar about the new statue of Justin Bieber that was just unveiled at the Museo de Cera in Madrid, Spain on Oct. 28.

The statue, which shows Bieber wearing a lilac t-shirt, gray hoodie and oversized black jeans, certainly bears a resemblance to the Biebster, but the eyes are a little too vacant, the lips a little too colorless, the face a little too full, the haircut … A little too feminine. Dare we say it? It’s sorta got a Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber vibe.

Bieber’s been immortalized in paraffin before, but his Madame Tussauds statue is a little more convincing — this one just doesn’t cut quite a divine enough impression of the Almighty Biebster.

After all, with the upcoming release of his new sure-to-be-chart-topping holiday album, ‘Under the Mistletoe,’ impending, the least they could do is adorn this statue with a festive red Santa cap! The Christmas album doesn’t officially drop until Nov. 1, though as expected, the whole thing leaked a few days in advance. If you’re a naughty Belieber, you can have an early listen of ‘Fa La La,’ ‘Christmas Eve,’ ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You‘ and more right now — just remember that Santa is watching!
