UNDATED (AP) — It's now a five-game winning streak for the New York Knicks and a five-game losing skid for the Boston Celtics.

J.R. Smith poured in 32 points and Carmelo Anthony added 29 as the Knicks hammered the Celtics 100-85 in Boston. The game was tied at 35 until the Knicks scored 14 straight points to take control.

The Celtics committed 20 turnovers compared to eight for the Knicks.

New York moved into second place in the NBA's Eastern Conference by percentage points over Indiana while stretching its lead in the Atlantic Division to 2 1/2 games over Brooklyn.

Also in the NBA, Minnesota ripped Detroit 105-82 behind 18 points and 11 rebounds from Nikola Pekovic. J.J. Barea matched a season high with 21 points off the bench for the Timberwolves.
