Lady Gaga is a captivating creature, but she's not model gorgeous, a fact she knows and accepts.

And there's nothing wrong with that, since beauty that comes from within is what lasts, while outward looks fade away. In her Glamour cover story and the behind-the-scenes video footage, Gaga reveals she is happy with her looks and deconstructs outmoded concepts and standards of beauty.

"If there was some sort of mathematical equation for beauty, I don’t know if I would be the algorithm," Gaga said.

But don't drag out the world's smallest violin. She's absolutely confident in her skin.

She continued, "I’ve always been OK with that. I’m not a supermodel. That’s not what I do. What I do is music. I want my fans to feel the way I do, to know what they have to offer is just as important, more important, than what’s happening on the outside."

Gaga furthered, "I’m confident in who I am. I’ve come to a place in my life where I’ve accepted things that are me, as opposed to feeling pressure to explain myself to people around me. That’s just the way I’ve always tried to be. It didn’t change when I became a star."

She's still the same person, and admitted, "At the end of the day, I’m a tortured soul."

Gaga also looked resplendent in this behind-the-scenes footage of her Glamour shoot, where she revealed that it was lipsticks and wigs that made her first realize beauty and how what you do with what's inside you is more important than your outward looks.
