For her upcoming video for ‘National Anthem,’ breathy songstress Lana Del Rey will suit up and play a national treasure. She’ll portray former First Lady, the late, great and much-adored Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, known affectionately to the American public as Jackie O.

According to HipHopDX, A$AP Rocky confirmed the news that he has been cast alongside LDR, playing her husband and former president John F. Kennedy. Even though they are portraying people from a period of American history and the past, the concept is a few years into the future. Exactly three, according to the man who will play JFK.

A$AP reportedly said, “I play JFK, she plays Jackie O. Some cool trippy s—, some real 2015 s—. People are going to get it in three years, and that’s the whole purpose of it.” Um, okay, if you say so! We’re of course interested in how and why the vid will take several years to fully absorb or “get.” Sounds high concept.

One can expect LDR to embody grace, style and class in the clip, since Jackie O was the epitome of all of those things. Some oversized sunglasses? A pillbox hat? Again, all of those are Jackie O signatures, and we expect to see LDR dressed in some variation of Jackie’s tailored, classic, sleek look.

LDR and A$AP Rocky collaborated on ‘Ridin,’ which is supposed to appear on his upcoming album.
