Lest we all forget, LeAnn Rimes used to be known for her singing. Then she had an affair with the then-married Eddie Cibrian, married him herself, and became the unhinged tabloid queen she is today. (It's the stuff of modern-day fairy tales, really.)

Now she's found a way to merge her worlds -- by writing a song about the whole mess.

She shared the ditty, entitled 'Borrowed,' on Tuesday night's 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.'

"The song is about ... the situation,” Rimes told Leno. And in case any of us thought her song was about a 'Jersey Shore' cast member, she added, “I did go through a very public affair ... with Eddie, who is now my wonderful husband."

Then she went and stole every entertainment writer's thunder: "I call myself pathetic in the song because at that moment I was pathetic."

It's been a pretty long "moment," LeLe.

"A lot of people who have been in that situation can relate to that ... It kills me to give that up. It's a very intimate look into a very rough moment of my life," she said, as though she hasn't been using Twitter to shine a glaring spotlight on her life's "intimate moments" for years.

Here are some of the lyrics from 'Borrowed' (hope you haven't eaten recently): "I know you’re not mine, only borrowed / Cause you already belong to her, at least you said so / But I’m starting to believe it ain’t the whole truth / As we’re lying side by side, I get the whole you."

We're tired of writing about LeAnn Rimes now, so we'll just let the always awesome Jennifer Lawrence have the last word.
