The “Making Casper” initiative is a project with the goal of defining Casper’s brand and crystallizing the brand into an all-inclusive logo and tagline. Project overseers are kicking off the initiative with a “Brand Summit” that is open to the public.  The summit is slated for Nov. 1 at The Iris Theater at 10:00 AM.

What is Casper’s brand? This simple question is the driving force behind the “Making Casper” initiative, a project that is being led by the City of Casper, the Casper Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Downtown Development Authority, the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce and Natrona County government.  According to Making Casper spokesman, John Patterson, "the process will be very transparent and will rely heavily on public input and participation."

The "Brand Summit", taking place at the Iris Theater Nov. 1st at 10:00 AM, is to show the Casper community what is to be accomplished, why it is important, and how it is planned to be accomplished.  All citizens are encouraged to attend.

Five organization are represented on the "Brand Board", four seats have been left open so they can be filled with Casper and Natrona County residents that want to be a part of the process of really defining what Casper is.  Any and all residents of Casper or Natrona County are eligible to serve on the Making Casper Brand Board. Residents interested in applying for the Making Casper Brand Board are encouraged to send a letter of interest to The City of Casper, Attn: David Hough, 200 N. Center Street, Casper, WY 82601.
