Michael Douglas Saves Danny DeVito + Rhea Perlman’s Marriage and Our Belief in Love

The world can send Michael Douglas flowers now. The veteran actor was integral in reuniting Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, and thus played a big role in restoring our faith in humanity as a whole.

Radar Online reveals that Douglas pretty much assured DeVito that he's never going to find anyone better than Perlman, so he should probably hold onto her.

“When Michael found out Danny and Rhea were splitting up he told Danny he thought he was making a big mistake,” a source told Radar. “Michael loves Rhea and he told Danny he will never find another woman quite like her. They complement each other perfectly and are the best of friends." And look at them. They are the cutest.

Douglas was pretty firm in his instructions, too. “He said he should do whatever it takes to win Rhea back and come to his senses fast before it is too late. It’s because of Michael they are talking to each other," the source added.

It's not all rose petals and champagne just yet, though. The source also admitted, "They are still trying to work things out, and for the moment they are just good friends, but they are heading in the right direction."

Douglas, who's been married to actress Catherine Zeta Jones for 12 years and went through a divorce with Diandra Luker, feels like he knows his stuff. “He’s confident that Danny and Rhea will settle their differences and get back together.”

DeVito revealed last week that he and Perlman are "separate, but together.” Get together together already, please. We're overdue for a squeal of delight at just how precious you two are.
