The first photo from the controversial HBO biopic 'Behind the Candelabra,' starring Michael Douglas as the eccentric piano player Liberace and Matt Damon as his longtime lover Scott Thorson, has been released.

It's not as racy as we were expecting considering Damon's confessions that his role required a lot of tasteful nudity and that Douglas is a “good kisser," but we suppose they're saving the fun stuff for the film.

The biopic, based on Thorson's memoir, follows the life of the extravagant and over-the-top Liberace, who was known for his love of bedazzled clothing, expensive cars and so many jewels that one wonders if he was actually part pirate.

Thorson was only 18 when he met the 57-year-old Liberace in 1977, but they stayed together five years. Liberace passed away in 1987 of AIDS-related pneumonia.

The film will air on HBO in May. A day later, look for a self-righteous tirade from the sanctimonious Parents Television Council, whose members will be outraged whether they see it or not.
