Barely a week after Mike Posner released his mixtape ‘The Layover,’ the singer-songwriter is getting ready to unveil his sophomore album. It’s called ‘Sky High,’ and will hit stores sometimes in early 2012.

‘Sky High’ includes the flirtatious new single ‘Looks Like Sex,’ which will be available for download at digital outlets on Dec. 6. No other details are available about the album, but it’s expected to follow the hook-filled electro-pop template of his first album.

The Michigan-born singer’s next U.S. concert is set for New Year’s Eve, when he appears in Miami at the Red Bull Sound Clash. Hopefully, he’ll unveil some of the other new tracks at that performance.

Posner’s debut, ’31 Minutes to Takeoff,’ reached the Top 10 last year and spawned the hits ‘Cooler Than Me,’ ‘Please Don’t Go’ and ‘Bow Chicka Wow Wow.’ Since then, Posner has kept busy with other projects, like appearing on Cher Lloyd‘s song ‘With Ur Love‘ and re-interpreting Coldplay‘s ‘The Scientist.’ ‘The Layover’ mixtape also included a version of Elton John‘s ‘Rocket Man.’
