Courtney Love has had her share of controversy, so it's to no one's surprise that the former Hole frontwoman had something to say about the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards -- specifically about two of the night's biggest performances from Katy Perry, who boxed and did the mildest of choreography, and Miley Cyrus, who twerked on Robin Thicke's crotch.

"I liked Miley, frankly," Love told the New York Post. "You know, that hillbilly Miley Cyrus is sort of punk in a weird sex way."

As for faux bantamweight Perry, Love griped, "I'm gonna be honest, Katy Perry bores the s--- out of me. She's a nice girl, she just really bores me."

She added, "[Perry] bores me. [Miley] was at least kind of punk rock, you know? It was openly sexual ... like dark and hillbilly and f---ed up."

Someone else Love didn't love? Thicke.

"Can someone inform me who Alan Thicke’s son is? Like what? Wasn't [he on] 'Charles in Charge?’" (For the record, nope.) She ranted, "That's like Jared Leto trying to convince me he’s a rock star."
