The Miley Cyrus publicity machine rolls on. The singer covers the November issue of Canada's Fashion, wearing a see-through, crocheted black dress and smudged black liner and reveals that a new track called 'Drive' may be about her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth.

First, let's discuss the image. It's a smoky, sexy eye makeup look, paired with scarlet lips. It's a look that few can pull off – Gwen Stefani comes to mind—but Cyrus executes it flawlessly. The fact that she is sort of covered up but that you can still see flashes of skin is indicative of Cyrus as a whole. We see a lot, but she still keeps some stuff private, like details of her relationship going south.

In her feature, she talks about the 'Bangerz' track 'Drive,' hinting that it's about Hemsworth, with whom she recently split. She also talks about changing lanes in music and fashion.

"I wrote it while I was working on Valentine’s Day -- emotionally it was such a hard time," the singer said. "It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship. It’s a time when you want to leave but you can’t. It’s also about moving on."

Cyrus is smack dab in the middle of that emotion right now!

Musically, she has made left turn, as well. She isn't interested in keeping up with the Gagas or Katys but she does admit to healthy competition keeping them on their toes.

Cyrus explained, “I feel like I’m in a different lane now. When it comes to critics, I have my blinders on and I don’t really feel like I have to compete with other pop artists. I never think, 'Oh this performance is going to make her look bad or out-shadow her,' either. But if there is no competition, there would be no reason for any of us to show up to work."

She finished, "At an office, everyone is trying to be boss. Pop music is the same. What I wear adds a factor that other girls can’t compete with."

Um, Gaga wears some stuff that no one can compete with...just saying.

The newly-minted punk rocker also talked about her revamped style, and how it relates to her music, which is sexier, more raw and more rock. "I can go through so many clothes say, 'No, that’s not me’ right away," she said. "I'm so adamant and controlling and OCD about my work that I can scare some people—especially when it comes to clothes."

Wanna know how Cyrus chooses pieces? She revealed, "I have a very specific style of my own and I think it is better to be stylish than trendy. I find vintage Celine or Chanel and mix it with athletic or vintage pieces makes a look modern and fresh. Vintage makes everything look punk."

And for the last time, she discussed her VMAs perf, saying it was actually censored. Jeez, we'd like to see the uncensored version. It must have been intense.

"I was trying to slap Robin’s ass but no one saw it," she said. "Believe me! MTV edited so much. They cut almost everything I did. I’m proud of that performance. I feel like music is really stale right now."

Can that be the period at the end of the VMAs sentence? Can we now move on? Miley has!

Cyrus is also on the cover of Rolling Stone.
