Natrona County School District officials received a threat on Sunday, according to a news release from the district.

The district reported the incident to local law enforcement and they are currently investigating.

"To ensure the safety of staff members, we will not be appearing on a previously scheduled news interview. We appreciate the understanding of our media partner and will work together with media partners and stakeholders to continue discussions on addressing bullying concerns and prevention," according to the news release.

The threat was specifically directed to NCSD officials, and not to schools or students. Schools will operate as normal.

"We appreciate the commitment of all stakeholders in assisting us to address the concern of bullying, harassment, and intimidation in our schools and our community," according to the news release.
