The City of Douglas is asking folks to stay off the roads if at all possible.

A 'no unnecessary travel' advisory has been issued within the Douglas city limits, meaning people should only drive in the event of an emergency.

Visibility in Douglas is so poor that city snowplows had to be called back to the shop for the time being, according to a news release from the Douglas Police Department.

Due to the lack of visibility, having plows on the streets was creating more a hazard for both plow drivers and other motorists.

Interstate 25 between Casper and Douglas remains closed due to a crash.
