From high winds and tornadoes to damaging hailstorms, the summer of 2018 has been one of the most active severe weather seasons across western and central Wyoming in many year, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.

For example, the average number of tornado warnings from 2006 tp 2017 was 19, but so far this year, there have been 53 tornado warnings around the state. There have been 393 severe thunderstorm warnings, far above the average of 233.

The National Weather Service in Riverton posted this video to their Facebook page, recapping some of the top severe weather events so far and featuring pictures and videos that were sent to them from Wyoming residents and others.
