A friend of mine posted this trailer on Facebook and I thought, "No big budget, no big actors, no big studio - and by the way, it's a movie about one of the most controversial topics of our time... abortion - not likely that we'll be seeing this in Casper anytime soon."

Then I found out that a private group in Casper has signed on and taken it upon themselves to bring 'October Baby' to Casper.

Do I have your attention yet?

"So, what's an 'October Baby?" you ask. Well, here is part of the storyline from IMDB:

October Baby
loading...

As the curtain rises, Hannah hesitantly steps onto the stage for her theatrical debut in college. Yet before she can utter her first lines, Hannah-unscripted-collapses in front of the stunned audience. After countless medical tests, all signs point to one underlying factor: Hannah's difficult birth. This revelation is nothing compared to what she then learns from her parents: she was actually adopted ... after a failed abortion attempt...

So, there you have it. A movie about abortion... and I have a feeling that it won't be pulling any punches.

'October Baby' will be playing at the Iris Stadium 8 starting March 23 and I have heard that 1000 advance tickets for opening weekend are required to bring the film to town. Comment below and tell us what you think.
