The hero in the rescue of four kidnap victims held captive in Cleveland, Ohio for roughly 10 years will be 'mackin' on free burgers for life.

Charles Ramsey has enjoyed national hero status since telling his account of the day he rescued Amanda Berry from captivity.  A fan of McDonald's, Ramsey told reporters he had been eating a Big Mac when he heard a woman screaming. His remarks about his burger went viral; even McDonald's tweeted its support: "Way to go Charles Ramsey-- we'll be in touch." And now, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports, Ramsey is being rewarded with a lifetime supply of burgers for his act heroism — and they aren't just from McDonald's.

More than a dozen Ohio restaurants have pledged an offer of a burger anytime Ramsey wants to stop by.  In addition, the Hodges Restaurant, where Ramsey works as a dishwasher, created the Ramsey Burger in his honor, a play on the Big Mac.
