On July 12, the recently restored Steam Locomotive No. 844 hit the tracks again for the first time in three years. The steam locomotive was built in 1944 and was the last steam engine built by Union Pacific. To get ready for Cheyenne Frontier Days, the train was restored to its original glory. This was a test run from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Greeley, Colorado to break in the locomotive, and it passed all inspections with flying colors.

This sold out VIP experience lets ticket holders get a train ride in the living legend No 844 Locomotive from Denver to Cheyenne with food, open bar , live music plus tickets to CFD and transportation when in Cheyenne. Although this trip caters to Coloradans, the one of a kind steam engine is truly work of art.
