J. Lo said it best when she said, "You gotta stop singing to stay; you gotta start singing to win."

It was a good piece of advice, but unfortunately for Paul McDonald, it came a little too late: Paul's quirky style and unique soft voice have been eliminated from 'American Idol,' according to PopCrush. There's a lot of talent on the show this year, so as the weeks go by, main contenders will have to be cast off the show. That's life on 'American Idol.'

It was a jam-packed elimination show tonight, filled with 'Idol's' dressed as zombies, a visit from Rob Reiner, performances from Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean, and contestants performing as duets and quartets (which, to us, felt more entertaining then the usual large group performance).

In fact, Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart were so impressive in their duet (of the jazz song 'Moanin''), the judges began raving about it, particularly Haley's performance. Unfortunately for Haley, she was quickly rushed into the bottom three, where she was joined by Paul and Stefano Langone.

Paul left us on a positive note, making sure to have fun in performing 'Maggie May' one last time on the 'Idol' stage.

Do you feel Paul McDonald deserved to be eliminated? Will you miss his flowery outfits? Do you think he has a successful career ahead of him?

Voice your opinion now, and relive Paul's first performance of 'Maggie May.'
