UNDATED (AP) — The NHL's conference leaders were able to pad their leads with shutout victories Tuesday night.

Sidney Crosby scored the lone goal and the Pittsburgh Penguins picked up their 13th consecutive victory by downing the Canadiens 1-0. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 25 shots he faced but did not play in the third period following a collision in front of the Penguins' net. Tomas Vokoun (voh-KOON') made 12 stops to preserve the fourth combined shutout in team history.

Pittsburgh now leads the Eastern Conference by seven points over the Canadiens and Boston.

Chicago tops the West by five points over Anaheim after the Blackhawks ended a two-game skid.

Ray Emery claimed his first shutout in more than three years by stopping 16 shots in the Hawks' 2-0 triumph over Calgary. Defensemen Nick Leddy and Brent Seabrook providing the scoring as Chicago dealt the Flames their 10th straight road loss.

Elsewhere on ice, Sergei Bobrovsky and Cory Schneider each earned shutouts before Maxim Lapierre (lah-pee-EHR') scored the lone shootout goal to give Vancouver a 1-0 victory over Columbus. Bobrovsky allowed the Blue Jackets to earn a point after they were outshot 34-17 through regulation and overtime.

Evander Kane's one goal and three assists led Winnipeg's offense in a 4-1 triumph at Carolina. The Jets lead the Southeast Division by six points over the Hurricanes, who are 0-5-1 in their last six games.

Joffrey Lupul scored a pair of go-ahead goals early in the third period before Toronto held off Florida 3-2. Lupul has six goals in four games since returning from a broken forearm.

Rick Nash scored twice and set up Derek Stepan's (STEP'-ahnz) eventual game-winner as the New York Rangers beat Philadelphia 5-2. Stepan had a goal and three assists for the Blueshirts, who are two points ahead of the New York Islanders in the battle for the final Eastern Conference playoff berth.

The Islanders blew a 2-0 lead in the second period before John Tavares scored the tiebreaking goal with 5:18 left to give the Isles a 3-2 win at Washington. The Islanders are 9-4-1 on the road but just 6-11-2 at Nassau Coliseum.

Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis each had a goal and an assist in Tampa Bay's 2-1 verdict over Buffalo. Stamkos has a league-high 23 goals for the Lightning, who allowed just 14 shots on net.

Nikolai Khabibulin (hah-bee-BOO'-lihn) made 21 of his 43 saves in the second period as Edmonton blanked the Blues 3-0 in St. Louis. The Oilers' line of Jordan Eberle, Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins combined for all three goals and eight points.
