Hip-Hop beefs are nothing new. Matter of fact, the "rap battle" helped catapult the genre into the masses worldwide in the 80's. Not mention, it boosted the career of many a rap star (50 Cent, Game, Eminem, Jay-Z and Nas to name a few powerhouses).

This latest beef started when Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB) front man, Lil Wayne was escorted (see also: kicked out) of a February 10th, 2013 Heat vs Lakers game in Miami, for cheering on the Lakers (who lost said game). Tunechi later tweeted:

So I'm @ da Heat game right, rootin 4 da Lakers kuz dats my team & would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?! Wow! F#€k da Heat

The last line of said tweet, did not sit well with Miami native Pitbull. Especially considering the fact that Weezy resides in Miami (making him a transplant, he's originally from New Orleans), Mr. 305 fired off a response. Considering Pitbull is now known internationally because of the pop/party feel of his last 2 albums, 'Planet Pit' and 'Global Warming', many have forgotten his potency on the mic. He was quite the vicious spitter in his early days. This fact has been brought back to the light with the verbal attack he fired on Wayne with his latest freestyle recorded of Baauer's Harlem Shake (yes... that song!!! Made famous by all the crazy videos currently burning up the net).

Tune is known to be a battle rapper himself at times. So this easily could prove to be an epic "Clash of the Titans" type of war of the words between these 2 Hip-Hop superstars. May the best man win!!!
