Rihanna is on the cover of the new Rolling Stone - and reveals more than just some hot photos and an interesting pair of spray-on shorts.  She goes in-depth about her decision to allow a judge to ease the restrictions of Chris Brown's restraining order, and even gives a little insight into her latest song 'S&M' - which she says is more than a little autobiographical.  See the cover and read more after the jump:

Regarding Chris Brown:

“I put my guard up so hard” after the Brown incident. “I didn’t want people to see me cry. I didn’t want people to feel bad for me. It was a very vulnerable time in my life, and I refused to let that be the image. I wanted them to see me as, ‘I’m fine, I’m tough.’ I put that up until it felt real.”The singer also revealed why she allowed a judge to ease the terms of the restraining order against her ex, revealing that she is actually a rather kind person who didn’t want their personal dispute to hamper Brown’s career. “That’s my decision,” she says. “It doesn’t mean we’re gonna make up, or even talk again. It just means I didn’t want to object to the judge.”

In fact, the former couple haven’t had contact in ages. “We don’t have to talk ever again in my life,” she admitted. “I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally. What he did was a personal thing – it had nothing to do with his career. Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows – that definitely made it difficult for him.”
